Welcome to the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology (BCMP) at Harvard Medical School. BCMP is host to a broad range of education, research, and outreach programs in medical and basic research. Our goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms that underlie basic biological processes and how they go wrong in disease. The department specializes in the use, development, and teaching of fundamental principles in molecular, chemical, and structural biology.
